The Internet Service Providers' Association of South Africa (ISPA) and UniForum SA (the co.za administrators) will be hosting their 9th iWeek annual conference from 15 - 17 September 2010 at Kloofzicht Lodge, 1747 Kromdraai Road, Muldersdrift, South Africa.
We are also honoured to be hosting the meeting of the International Internet Industry Alliance (IIIA) as part of this year's annual event.
The first day of the conference brings together representatives of ISP associations from six continents, to debate and discuss Internet industry developments in each region, and to discuss issues of global importance, including: cybercrime, copyright, net neutrality, domain names, content liability, privacy and data retention.
In addition to Internet industry representatives from Australia, the USA, the European Union, Argentina, India and South Africa, a guest speaker from the FBI's Cyber Division will present a keynote on global cybercrime and the role ISPs can play in combating it.
iWeek 2010 is a free conference, and most of the proceedings are open to anyone involved in the Internet industry. Following the open sessions, the IIIA will hold a closed meeting to discuss mutual co-operation between ISP associations around the world.
You are encouraged to register at your earliest convenience at: http://www.iweek.org.za/register-for-iweek/
A draft programme is available on the site.
