System Requirements

• Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 processor; iMovie requires a Mac with an Intel processor, a Power Mac G5 (dual 2.0GHz or faster), or an iMac G5 (1.9GHz or faster; iDVD requires a 733MHz or faster processor.

Kinda, yes. It was brand new though, but the Intels were already available. I'm just kinda disappointed that Apple is obsoleting it so quickly - a 1.33GHz G4 is still a reasonably powerful processor...

As far as I can tell its only the one app and if I understood correctly they are offering iMovie 06.

EDIT -
About iMovie HD 6
iMovie HD 6, previously distributed with iLife ’06, is available for download for those who have purchased and installed iLife ’08.

I guess they want it to look "fast" - but I'm quite happy to wait a little bit longer. I spend a good deal of time waiting for the Mini already. The result of a slow disc and shortage of memory. Oh, and Azureus running in the background. Why is it such a hog?

According to the guys at MBW the whole reason for the delay in iLife was down to them completely rebuilding iMovie from the ground up. I guess they had to make a cut off point and went with the G5 as being the minimum spec.

Wow, check out the prices of the software at za shop. 580 for ilife and 580 for iwork. Compare this to office 2007 and its an absolute bargain. Gonna pick it up when its released here.

Still not the R556 and R684 (family pack) for the '06 versions are going for. But I suppose its the thought that counts!

Bwana, do they send you the box with CDs and everything or just e-mail you the code?

Getting it cheaper is one thing but the pleasure of wandering around the Apple Store is almost worth the extra £17...

I only wanted the online delivery so they emailed the code.

But is there a packaged option? For the same price?
Not sure, delivery from the US to UK is unlikely to be an option though. You should be able to get it from the UK store.

I've got no need for the physical disk - just something else for me to misplace. :)

I have a US delivery address :-) But yes, I can get it from the store (I mean the real one, not the online one), but that's a steep price difference...

So do I - thats the one I used (as well as my elementary school details for the student discount. ;))
