Jack Ryan

It's definitely slow, especially at the beginning, but worth it. I'm not even that big a fan of spy or war thrillers, but liked it enough to watch the second season when it comes out.
It was a bit of a slow start but the last two episodes, especially the final, seemed a bit rushed story wise.

Weekend made - hope it continues the awesomeness that was season 1

First episode was very slow

I am a huge fan of the books.

Just started watching the pilot. I don't like the liberties they've taken with timelines and especially I don't like the characterization of Greer. I hope it changes soon.

Excellent start to the second season. Loved how the new story line started unfolding and characters set up again for the new season. Looking forward to the rest.

I didn't find the second season as good as the first. Took me way too long to recognize that the character playing Max, Tom Wlaschiha was actually Jaqen H'ghar from Game of Thrones. At least we got some Afrikaans from Vosloo.

Sad to see Matice go quite liked the character. Looks like Mark Snow will be the new Greer in Season 3

A bit of a mixed bag here, IMO. Some decent moments and good action scenes but overall I felt they went too far in the direction of 'Team America World Police'.

The character of Jack Ryan went from a humble analyst in Season 1 to a kind of bad version of James Bond in this one.

I agree - just started watching S2 and so far it feels off.

IMHO they've got Jack Ryan's character completely wrong in this season. The premise was supposed to be that he was an average guy that used his above average smarts to excel in intelligence operations, more or less by accident.

They got the right casting - who's more ordinary and average (and secretly smart) than Jim from the office, after all? But now they're portraying him as a tough, womanising, take-no-prisoners type and it's completely unconvincing, which makes it boring, sadly.
