I grew up with Jaguars around me all my life (there is a link a few posts back). BMW's tend to be owned (OK, this is a total generalisation) by total and utter ****ers who have no respect for other road users at all. I wouldn't be caught dead in one!!

Ag, maybe it was a class-leader in it's time but it's 2009 now and there are smaller-engined cars who puts out more.

This is hardly technical On another note, I love how turbo diesels perform there days! Thinking of a C270 CDI or C320 CDI

Don't get me started on turbo diesels; I love them; hell, would even like to own one someday. They're really in a class of their own.

Seems expensive to me for an XJS, even if it is the 6 litre. Fantastically quiet cars, drive like a dream, but maintenance costs can be ludicrous for some things. For example, changing the spark plugs is a 3 1/2 hour job for an experience mechanic; you have to remove the fuel injection system to get in there.
