Jaguar xf worth nothing

I am sitting in a situation where I purchased a 2012 Jaguar xf 3.0v6 premium luxury in December 2017 and unfortunately over October 2018 I lost my job of 7 years.

I have started working now and I am trying to get myself into a cheaper car and something I van actually afford now.

Jaguar won't even buy back there own car and is offering me R160000 below settlement I don't know what to do any more

I have tried multiple dealers to try and trade in and I just kept on beign told my settlement is too high and there is a shortfall. Can anybody suggest anything or help
 
Nothing you can do, most luxury cars are worth nothing 2nd hand.

You will have to keep it for now and pay it off.
 
The finance contract is quite new, its usually always difficult to get out so early as you have mostly been paying interest so far (and the dealer's mark up).
What is the settlement?
 
Try and sell it privately. Still, you're not going to like this, there will still be a huge shortfall. The moment you took delivery of the vehicle it already lost 20% of it's value. Also from those figures it also looks like you paid more than you should have for it. School fees, I guess.

These cars don't sell easy and with the current economic climate, it's going to be even harder.
 
I bought the car for R469000 with a trade in and I still owe like R320000 on it I simply don't know. I am getting offers of R160000 to R200000

O my that's pretty bad. If you look on sites like cars.co.za the highest asking price I saw is R240K. To give you an idea we sold my wife's convertible Audi. Was bought for R440K new and sold it with 20K kilometres on for R260K when she left the country. Yep it sucked balls :D

That's just how it is. You're probably going to have to bite the bullet here and try to keep it. Possible to downscale somewhere else?
