for those of you that use that road every morning and afternoon ...WTF ???

how do you guys manage to drive on that road with the taxis ??? i was nearly knocked 3 times alone this morning ! the third time i had to press the breaks full on until i came to a dead stop! the taxi driver just cut in front of me with out indicating or any warning signs what-so-ever ! i missed him by cm's !

thank god it's only for this week !

i honestly wish someone would do something about taxi drivers, a viglanty (sp) group or something, take their taxis out or at least damage it so that it can;t be used again ... something has to be done.

i'm still a bit shakey ...only got in to work now !

Shame dude, you must learn to chill and watch out for taxi's :D

If you see a taxi expect something to happen, i am never shocked anymore because i expect it :D
 
I agree with the Landy advice. Then you just stop in your own time and be sure to wreck some taxis :p
 
i was dropping off the gf in gibbs so had to go that way ... i used to take taxis to work everyday but the fares were pricey and i didn't always get to work on time because they stop so often to pick up and drop off and beside i'm a small guy so i usually ended up getting sqaushed between 2 mama's lol nah driving is better but the taxis are a mission now days! i try to avoid them and just let them go but sometimes they just swerve in front of you leaving you no choice but to hit the breaks hard...

I'm a big guy and got squashed with 3 mamas on the back seat once.

Got out at the next stop and walked the 5km to work.
 
Dude I know what you mean, but you get use to it. Play some music (not radio) and chill out. Taxis, Bad bumpy roads, traffic lights not working, etc. Just chill.

You should notice that the back edge of virtually every taxi is dented.

I wish I had a monster truck.

yeah i'm gonna just relax and take it easy after work today, not gonna rush and might as well avoid the taxis all together, i'm too young to get so stressed out like this !
 
a chill pill is best were taxi's are involved.
most of the idiots have gun licenses and they pack.
worst they will not consider the consequences before they shoot you. so that landy advice should be taken if you have a quick draw and hair trigger yourself. plus be prepared to lose everything from the resulting jail term.
 
I would say we form a vigilanti group...find out where the taxi's get kept, and each night in the wee hours go and stab all the tyres on each of them...

I hate taxi drivers as they think they are above the law, we should do to them what they do to us...strike at thema nd then shoot a couple of rounds into their unoccupied taxis
 
Ja bru. Fully. I moved from JHB to CPT 10 years ago and when back in JHB use Jan Smuts because it one of the few routes I remember properly. I recently saw a taxi pull out of a side street and block the entire road in both directions to let 8 or 10 other taxi's through before pulling off behind them. Hectique!
