How is this an upset? I'm sorry, but Japan aren't a bad team at all - and the Danish have looked shaky from the start.

Um, I never said they are not a good side but in their first WC they lost all of their matches including against Jamaica. In 2002 when they hosted they did advance to the second round but they had a 2 all draw with Belgium and went out to Turkey. In 2006 they again got nowhere fast, failing again. This is the first time Japan has beaten European opposition at a WC. Couple that to the fact that Japan has never beaten Denmark. They've only played them once as far as I know, though, a 2-1 loss. So based on past results, yes, it is a bit of an upset.
