My first-born is learning Delphi in school. 90+ in grade 11. This is what is taught in the Model C schools, so I am told.

My first-born is keen to learn Java, as Java seems to be what the private schools are teaching?

1. Are there any online courses (or otherwise) that you can recommend (paid or free)?

2. How easy is it to learn Java?

Any other thoughts or ideas would be well-received. TIA :)

Probably the question you should ask first. Where and what do you want to be working on and then learn the required stack.

She's in school. Just learn Java. You'll be better off regardless of what you end up doing. Strongly typed, it will teach you everything from for loops, threading to generics.

Just learn Java and move on.

She wants to add to her knowledge and without having someone who can teach her, I will do all I can to help. Java first and the rest will come. Thank you for your input.
