Java Runtime update server

All the machines in my network is updating the Java runtime JRE individually. Does anybody know how to set up a server on the network to act as an update server for all the updates from Sun Microsystems?

Can't you just download the re-distributable package once and then manually apply the update on all the workstations? How many machines are we talking about?

40 machines. I understand from someone that they use a script to install these updates. Think I am going to try and implement something similar.
