It felt like a shallow cheap game.... initially. The more I played, the more I enjoyed it. I played on Jedi Master (2nd most difficult) and found it easy overall.
There were 2 bosses I had to try to beat more than twice (the bat and the final battle), and I also can't say that there were set pieces that had my attempt it more than twice. The combat isn't nearly as tight as the Soulsborne games, and because it was easier I found I didn't try as hard to perfect my dodging. I also think I only "lost" my XP once.
Since you only find cosmetics in chests, exploring was more of a chore than interesting. It makes sense for the game's setting I guess.
You can also see that their budget wasn't the highest by the way the Wookies look.
With that out of the way, the combat got more and more enjoyable. It being a more forgiving game also meant I could play it after a frustrating work day to relax and not shatter my controller against my screen. When you get more abilities you also get that Jedi feeling you had in Jedi Academy and Dark Forces 2.
This is a definite recommend from my side, and hope they get to make a sequel with a higher budget.
