Jedi: Fallen Order

Started with this game today.
I haven't played any previous other Star Wars game, except a racer one ages ago.
This game had me playing for almost 3 hours today.

There's still a lot for me to do though.
I'm extremely impressed with it.

It felt like a shallow cheap game.... initially. The more I played, the more I enjoyed it. I played on Jedi Master (2nd most difficult) and found it easy overall.
There were 2 bosses I had to try to beat more than twice (the bat and the final battle), and I also can't say that there were set pieces that had me attempt it more than twice. The combat isn't nearly as tight as the Soulsborne games, and because it was easier I found I didn't try as hard to perfect my dodging. I also think I only "lost" my XP once.
Since you only find cosmetics in chests, exploring was more of a chore than interesting. It makes sense for the game's setting I guess.
You can also see that their budget wasn't the highest by the way the Wookies look.

With that out of the way, the combat got more and more enjoyable. It being a more forgiving game also meant I could play it after a frustrating work day to relax and not shatter my controller against my screen. When you get more abilities you also get that Jedi feeling you had in Jedi Academy and Dark Forces 2.

This is a definite recommend from my side, and hope they get to make a sequel with a higher budget.

Really cool summary thanks Barbarian Conan.

It's strange, even 3 hours in I've had most of the experiences you had.
It's a really stress free and enjoyable game.

Wookies pretty much always look retarded in every instance outside of the original series.

Even drawing them made them look stupid:

Even the films with their budget also don't do it as well as a practical effect:

Pretty much everyone fails to get their fur simulations to actually look like smelly dog hair:

Though nothing is as bad as the Christmas special.

Wookies aside, the one thing that did annoy the force out of me was the delay between pressing the button for the stim and actually getting the stim. And you are right about the cosmetics in the chests, they should have put something a bit more rewarding in them.

Still, one of the better Star Wars games I have played. It might be enough to get Mrs konfab into Soulsborne.

I'm still at the start, so the stim delay isn't an issue yet. I'm well impressed though that the game is so easily playable on a keyboard and mouse. Still need to get a controller.

I found the stim use very quick compared to the SB games, so it wasn't an issue for me.
Something which did throw me off in the beginning was the camera inertia. If you use a mouse, the camera takes some time to start moving. It also takes a short while to stop when you stop the mouse. It felt like the game had input lag.
When I switched to the controller, it worked well and I probably would have gotten used to it with the mouse. I just wish they disabled it on the mouse.

Weird about the input lag.
I use a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. Technically I should experience some lag, but I haven't. There is a few frame skips for me though, which I can understand due to my old CPU and low clocked RAM.
