Hi,
I have been watching a few reviews and they seem awesome!
Looking for something new, a bit bigger....Does anyone have the Jetour T2?
By the way, I am seeing a lot of comments that say "Chinese Junk" but no one really says why or didn't even drive it.
They also seems to be sold out everywhere.

Who would have thought there would be waiting lists for mass produced SUV’s but here we are.

I recall the Corolla cross hybrid model once had a long waiting list but I see dealers are offering huge discounts now to move their overpriced mediocrity.

For the T2 (which is the coolest looking Chinese vehicle currently at that price) rather wait for all the hype to cool down then pull the trigger.

Scum SA dealers will do crazy add ons and exorbitant compulsory costs to profit at all costs and just say take it or leave it as there is always someone else waiting to buy.

Dont worry, china is sending boat loads of them literally!

It is basically a defender for 1/3 of price that actually spends time on the road and not at the mechanic.

Only reason I did not short list it, is due not having PHEV model locally yet. Though PHEV model will probably be quite pricey.

Local dealer has stock to test drive, but they also have a waiting list. Seen a few locally.

I think they sold 500 in the first month, and it only launched mid month. Compared to brands like mazda which only sells a 180 cars total of all there models combined.

I did get to test drive it, very nice.
If someone know of available stock please let me know

I find that dealership ask me about finance before they even checking which module i am interested in, color, etc.

I suppose it's because a lot of people show interest and they can't really afford the car? maybe i should tell them I want the car cash?and then just apply with my bank?can't really remember how this work.

What is it about finance they are asking?

Like with all these Chinese cars, the problems sit at dealership level, and how they address any potential issues. Make sure you get a dealership with proper aftersales service and you should be good. Yes, you won't know if they are good until you need them to resolve issues, but listen to other owners about the better dealerships.

So, if i apply for finance from the bank directly and it is approved.
Do I need to tell the dealer "it's financed" or is it considered cash because they don't have to deal with it and just get the money?
I suppose it's still financed , just not sure why it's a "thing".
for me, that is my last concern about the car....

I guess what I am also trying to understand if I have more chances of getting it if I say i'll pay cash.

If you apply from the bank or through the dealer what difference would it make?

I don't know....but like a said finance is the first question I am being asked.

Probably due to as you said people coming to touch and feel and not get financing.

The Toyota Cross Hybrid won the competition for the most reliable and trouble-free car in 2024 and 2015

Most dealerships sell loans and not cars that's why it's the first question
Interesting....so am I most likely to get preference if I take finance or not?or it doesn't really matter.

The dealer makes money if you finance through them. They make less on a cash deal.

Get a rate from your bank, but I don't see the downside of giving them the opportunity to beat it.

Assuming you are getting a secured loan against the vehicle It is also not like you can hide the fact that you got finance from the dealer.

Alternatively if you are really open to cash just say open to financing or cash what ever gets you the best deal.
