Hi guys. :)

Few questions here for the experienced Android devs.

I was wondering if you have some time to share your experience in landing your first Android dev job?

I have experience using the following :
- Fundamental knowledge of Android SDK components (Activities, Fragments, Intents, Services, UI layouts, accommodating for different
screen sizes etc)
- Picasso (For image loading)
- OkHttp (For downloading JSON), alternatively using Volley or Retrofit
- Github Version control
- MVP, MVVM architectural design pattern.

Also, I have published two applications on the Google Play Store:
Budgeting App
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droiddevsa.budget_pro_mvp_pattern_refactored&hl=en

Dog Encyclopedia - using public API
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droiddevsa.doganator&hl=en

Currently, things on my "To-learn list" are:
- Dependency Injection using Dagger (Dagger2)
- Authentication: Using OAuth, Facebook
- Using data-binding libraries
- Implementing Admob
- Camera and Bluetooth
- Firebase analytics.

I am aware that each company has its own requirements, though I'm not sure if my skillset satisfies the "required baseline"
for a typical Junior Android Developer role.

In your experience, did you discover certain skills that employers preferred
over others?
Is it ok not to know everything that is posted on a job listing when applying?
