Joburg cops held for robbery
2010-12-11 09:32

Johannesburg - Three policemen were arrested in connection with a business robbery on the corner of Jeppe and Harrison streets, Johannesburg police said on Saturday.

"It is alleged that the three police officers stormed into the jewellery shop and produced their appointment certificates claiming to be on official police business," Lieutenant Tshisikhawe Ndou said.

The three allegedly grabbed the shop owner, pointed firearms at him and stole a bag which contained R25 000 and an undisclosed amount of jewellery on Friday at 13:30.

Ndou said in a statement that upon leaving, the trio, aged between 40 and 41, were surprised by sector police, searched and arrested.

The stolen goods were recovered, as well as a blue BMW with false registration that was allegedly to be used as the getaway car.
A fourth suspect who was in the car managed to flee the scene with the BMW's keys, Ndou said.

Lovely :)

At least it's balanced out by a good cop story in catching them right away. :p I really hope cops like this are permanently out of the force and in jail. It's the worst thing you can do.

no action will be taken.

I want to know how many "criminals" are stlill in the SAPS? Even those "criminals" proved guilty, those criminals are still working in the SAPS now becuase of their "experiences". It is so laughable.

Another slap on the wrist for the police. Its such a joke. Even with all the big leaks and stories out there, nothing gets done. The bad people just get replaced by other imbeciles chasing the easy money.

Sickening to see how the world changed from a nice place to this hell. As malema says, "This is a revolution!".. there will be two sides to that!

Awesome the idiots were apprehended..and hopefully similar crimes can be attributed to this criminal syndicate.

Justice will prevail... albeit very slowly.....

Have faith;)

Peace:love:

bwhahaha,

they learnt nothing from the criminals they arrested before....

Lock 'em up & lose the keys!
