You all seem to forget that you were that age at some point too and more than likely weren't well versed in the philosophical nature, nor religious nature of events you were partying at. Nor did you care. All I see are a few kids having fun with one or two saying marginally inappropriate things about bitches. The one bloke even described the event spot on yet he's also given grief.
The way that most of you go on and on about how embarrassing they are leads me to believe that you never partied as kids at all. You were busy trying to hack each other's computers over the weekend.
Can someone explain to me precisely what it is that makes all of them an embarrassment? You are aware that the person behind the camera and the editing has an agenda, right? Considering that the religious nature of the event was never marketed. Intentionally so! Yet now they're all embarrassing because they didn't get it?

Why is everyone in a basement and fixing computers if they're not out partying? 
Like I said, they, imo do not from the video, look like anyone I would party with as they seem brain dead and I think that drugs and alcohol can only make me listen to drivel for that long.
To me it the "trend of today", to be stupid. That is why science programs do not have the viewership numbers of the kardashians.
I have no problem with these people, the more there are of them, the easier it is for me to get a good job etc etc.
I just fear for our future generations if these are the people that are filling the gene pool.
Also the OP should seriously get out more, people in Cape Town, George, Durban, Freestate and every small town you can think off have embarrassed themselves far more than these people.

Those being interviewed are more than likely hopelessly pissed and are being asked to discuss the philosophical and religious nature of the event. An aspect they rightfully know fsckall about. How old are you now? They're 18. I am certain you partied hard, and had cameras been around for your drunken moment you too would have failed to come across as a philosophy and English professor on camera. I certainly don't believe that they're all destined to be toilet cleaners because they didn't understand the question and drunkenly attempted an answer. Or because they had their shirts off and were partying.
You see the problem with reality tv isn't merely that it shapes young minds for the worse, it also creates a stereotype that others now latch on to. Notice a single trait (hair and skin tone) in a person and immediately they're an imbecile, destined for nothingness and an embarrassment to you. All because they resemble a stereotype you hate. Works both ways if you want to use reality tv as some sort of argument here...
I've got embarrassing footage of my sister acting similarly in a drunken state which is destined for her 21st later this year. She's incredibly intelligent and at 20 earns far more than anyone in her age-bracket, and far more than most of the detractors in here, in all likelihood. She also watches The Kardashians, to my horror. Your parents more than likely disapproved of the schit you enjoyed as a kid too. Stop acting like a grandpa now...

Ever notice the trend that more intelligent people on average would rather watch something that adds to their "knowledge" than watching something like the kardashians with no educational value?
I am between 25 and 30, and as stated above, sure I partied a lot, and on more than one occasion was I legless, but not even when I was 13 and if I had been leggless would I have been as airheaded as the retard and Zeus (the latter, who by the way I think might actually be smart as he does not say a lot barring when he corrects the dullard).

Good for her, I know of more than one person who earns a lot and is still a dumbass, and please do not think now by inference I am saying your sister is a dumbass, as that would be a dumbass thing to do.
I am not saying that there are not smart people that also like watching the kardashians BUT I am saying is that I am sure if given the choice, a sample group of intelligent people would rather watch something with a bit more "brain food" than the kardashians, on average.

I did. I'm not afraid to admit it. When I was 18 years old I was a knowitall little upstart and spoke the biggest heap of crap when I was really pissed. I've even done the Captain's pose (pretty sure it ain't the Zeus pose - it's the Captain Morgan pose) lately. Obviously in private amongst friends though. Trusted friends. So the Captain posers talk like rof okes from the East Rand. Someone's gotta be a car mechanic in this world...
I think you give yourself too much credit as a drunken teenager. I dislocated my shoulder tackling a flag pole on a dare. I lived the foreveralone.jpg lifestyle for many years until I went to Oppikoppi last year with several other members of MyBB (YOLO Korn1!!! ). Not everyone there was the SWAG, YOLO type. Many there were actually fiercely intelligent people, some cutting loose for the first time in their lives.
Many people there were actually highly educated and we actually did discuss meaningful topics during the 1 or two hours a day we were sober.
They didn't look it though because everyone there was mostly drunk for the entire three days. I myself did and said incredibly idiotic things while I was there. Some of it still makes me cringe to this day. If you'd caught me on camera I probably would not have been any different from these people, and I consider myself a very intelligent person. But you know what? I had a BLAST and I don't regret any of it.
I can't wait to do it again this year as well.

He was a foreveralone loser basement dweller that got incredibly built, broke out of his shell, began successfully hitting on women, became more confident and started having fun and inspired many others to do the same. Sadly he died of a hereditary heart condition sometime in 2011.

. Luckily for me my worse i don't remember . Only thing i got caught on tape was playing rugby in durban drunk and missing a tackle and i rolled down a small hill . Same day i broke my toe playing drunken soccer. Had an absolute blast though. burnt to a crisp scratched body, broken toe. Best holiday!!!!!!!! while devils best story is sitting in a sweater sipping scotch and smoking a cigar in front of the fire. The most excitement for him, the guy loading the wood was gone and he had to stop judging people and put a log on the fire.
