Jon Stewart owns atheists

Well, if the thing is being built by the government, there should not be religious imagery on it.

Also, I can't help but agree with the now much vilified president of American Atheists. All this fuss about some twisted metal, never mind the thousands that died.

But whatever, I really don't care. In the grand scheme of things it's much ado about nothing.

I just think it's silly. So there's a bit of twisted metal that looks like a cross and some people want to make it a part of the memorial. What's the big deal?

I agree with Stewart: If it bothers you why not just think of it as some T-shaped metal twisted thingy (or whatever it was he said).

It's such a silly thing to wet yourself about.

Edit: Although, I would say, in hindsight, that if you ARE going to have any religious symbols, then you should have all religions represented in some way as a way of paying religious/spiritual tribute to all those of different faiths (including the lack thereof) who died.

But that seems impractical :p

With regards to the sensationalist thread name, I have one response.

"People of Seaford owns Christians." Linky

When you see how silly my title is with regards to the video, then you can see how silly the thread name is.

Lol, I would have just removed the whole sentence, but I only noticed my mistake after I had submitted the post. :p

Wonder what they'd have done if the twisted metal was in the shape of a crescent moon and star?

The thing is, it's a religious symbol, nothing more, to the people who want it as part of the structure.

In any case, the USA is a democracy, so if it goes up, cool. I really don't care.

Well, this "atheist group" seem to like stirring **** for no reason whatsoever so I can't really say I support them at all. From what I've read this same group also wants road-side crosses for deceased state troopers to be removed.

Yeah, these atheists should just move on with their lives in this case and not try to cut their noses off to spite their faces.

But, I do find it funny that the Christians are getting all excited about two pieces of metal joined together... I mean it's not like there was any other metal joined together at cross beams in the entire building! ... oh wait... the entire building was constructed that way....

Lol :D The atheist could be represented by an empty box.

So the WTC was constructed using thousands of t-joints...

Is it a sign that a t-joint is left standing? Perhaps a sign of Jesus tuned in to channel earth wolfing down popcorn? He probably thought hmm I'll make a cross reminiscent of my old party days to let the Christians know I'm tuned in, watching them dying, of course, not only Christians died.

Its definitely no coincidence, it can only be a miracle. Remember, Jesus isn't exactly good at magic tricks so this reeks of him, even the water to wine trick was meh compared to David Copperfield.

They should just build a Scientology centre on the site. With a giant staue of Ron out front.
