JTAG or IXtreme LT+

Hey guys,

My mweb is down again, so I thought this would be an ideal time to ask a question on my edge connection! Yay!

I've been toying with modding my phat360 after I scratched my Bioshock disk. Happy days...

So anyway, I've googled like a man possessed and so am now totally confused. Should I wait for the iXtreme LT+ mod or should I JTAG my 360? I mainly want to be able to play my backed up games and as I lend my stuff out often, I want to be able to install to my console and play without disks. I don't use xbl often, I sometimes check out trailers and stream media from my PC through tversity. I don't want to be banned though.

Please let me know what you guys think?

i would JTAG if possible. there's so much fun to be had by being able to tinker with the game's files, and run stuff from the HDD without the DVDs needed.
 
Did some research today, my kernel isn't supported, I upgraded my dashboard to 12611 the Kinect dashboard :( I'm suddenly contemplating what I will lose if I get banned, as I don't game online at all.

If you don't game at least 7 hours a week on XBL I would say you miss out on f-all.

Flash it yesterday. You are just wasting money atm on originals, you gonna flash it eventually and regret all the money spent on games.

Don't even stress about updates from Live, you can download and burn the latest dash updates onto CD from www.xbox.com

Want to get my arcade xbox flashed to LT+ , costs R450.
Not big on xbox live anyway, i would like to buy the games but i mean R500 + is crazy, some are R700!
 
Jtag is missions, wow there is such crazy steps to take and u always have to make plans when new dashes come out and get new free-loaders its not worth the time, rather get LT+ much easier and if u want to borrow your games out thats your problem, make a backup of the game or tell your friends to give you a blank disc of the game, LT+ for the win and also a Jtag box is not easily found, i doubt you have a suitabe dash for the hack
 
So I finally took the leap... I'm flashed! Now the challenge is backing up my originals without a kreon drive! Any ideas?

isnt That the method where u insert the disk then forcefully eject it out the tray...thats for origionals tho, if the game is already copied there is no need, iv got a kreon, better to just souce one
 
R450 for a flash ... man I need to move to EL to charge that kind of prices :D

I read earlier in the thread that JTAG is a schelp ... not really. If you can find a compatible console then it's a case of installing the wiring and doing the mod. Future JTAG can be done via a USB stick and the dashboard by the end user OR you can send it back to the guy who did originally and update at a small fee.

I also import Kreon drives from Europe (pre-flashed) but it's not cheap (R800 excl local shipping). I will in future sell 0800 flashed drives with a basic connectivity kit that will be a decent alternative to a Kreon ROM.
