I agree on the counseling, clogging up the courts with children who have sex is not the way to solve the problem.

No just the one but it was a consensual act and the one was 15 at the time so knew what they were getting into. The older was charged with stat rape but nothing came about it because they got married etc. This was however many many years ago, i think pre-apartheid even.

The point is that this will be the first time they prosecute people who are underage for stat rape.

During their first appearance, the boys admitted their role in the consensual and their matter was postponed until December 1. They are due to be placed on a diversion programme. The girl maintained, at the time, that she was still a victim of rape.

However, she changed her mind on Thursday morning, and agreed that the sex was consensual.

I know this is a bit off topic, but this case illustrates the abuse that is possible by a woman claiming rape when in actual fact it was consensual. A close buddy of mine went through the same thing, just before the case went to trial the chick "changed her mind", at that point the guy's reputation is shot to **** and the label will remains with him.

My only hope is that these boys move to another community becuase where they are now, the people will always associate them with this...

Do think what the boys did was right? I mean it seems that the girl was very drunk. You do not have gang sex with a girl in that state.

I agree, but they boys should not have done what they did, so I have no sympathy for them.
