Well, there is no reason to assume they were assaulted either. In fact there is more reason to believe they were not because no mention was made of them being punched or kicked or that they are considering assault charges. Physically removing someone from where they have no business being in the first place is not assault.

Also the whole "whites only" sign makes this whole story a bit suspicious. Lets assume that there was one and the paying black, coloured and indian campers some how didn't take offense or report it, why would a person who is not white chose to stick around and take a shower once they had seen one? Surely the logical thing to do would be to get away from the place filled with obviously insane white people and call the police.

See my post above yours..... again all I can be thankful for is that you are never the judge in a case I am involved in. You totally disregard facts and fill in the missing bits of a story with whatever you feel meets your needs...

From my experience, white people are quite cautious in recent times if there are any possibility that they could be branded as racists. The power of a group of people should not be underestimated though! I will wait and see the outcome of this episode. We (including myself) are fast to generalise, maybe we should view instances like this as a unique occurrence?

I understand the situation fully, the people who kicked them out were probably locals to the spot who were already upset about people using their facilities when they shouldnt be and leaving them in a mess, so they get upset and confront them. Next thing the family in the shower are yelling racist comments and threats at them? that would be the boiling point for me and I would probably have lobbed them out too.

Ha ha ha ha you are pathetic!! The article that says what you want it to (whites are racists and coloureds are poor innocent victims in all cases) is telling the honest truth and must be believed under all circumstances. The one that counters these claims and tell the other side of the story (about hawkers who came in to use private facilities and then shouted racists taunts at those paying to stay there) is a total fabrication and merely the racists trying to defend their inexcusable savage behaviour!!

HA HA HA!!! Would be laughable except that I think you are being serious!

By the way do you not find it funny that the family have dissappeared and are not available for comment ( and don't say something stupid like they fear for their lives as they did not seem to do that when they shouted racists taunts at a group of people!). Seems like they thought they would lay a case with the police to get some compensation out of it but now that it has made the papers they fear the truth will come out!

100%... And unfortunately its gonna be left to the courts to decide what they closest definition to the truth is. If people are pulling the race card from all sides we are never going to be able to settle things in a civilized manner that should define modern society.

So to both sides of this argument: I don't know if we'll ever know the whole truth, only the outcome of the decision of a 3rd party.

No, you are jumping to conclusions now. If you read the original thread you will see I was adamant that there was another side of the story to be listened to and lo and behold there is. I am in no doubt that the truth lies somewhere in between the two.... but I have to admit that in my mind it leans more in favour of the people who were paying good money to use the facilities through the proper channels and not those slipping money to a security guard (if this is the case as there is no further mention of this). This is what "right of admission reserved" means!

Glad to see you have come around in your thinking as in the original thread you seemed convinced that anyone questioning the facts was totally wrong, and by implication, also a racist...

The fact that these people were trespassing will harm their credibility. Thus a third part will have to accept the version of the people that had a right to be there.
