That's not guarenteed, it could be 3.1GB before you get capped. The worst thing to do is get your hopes up only to be disappointed in the end. The reason one could get so much over 3GB before was that unused data was being distributed among people who used used up their data allowance. Slowly but surely the limit is decreasing as more and more people use up their available 3GB to the max.MrG said:

Ah the age old debate....To support telkom or not.
I just wouldnt go with them on principle. It is their fault that telecommunications in this country are up to ****. IF the 10 gigs were guaranteed, then they'd almost have a good service. Almost. But it isnt.
Rather get an IS account for R165 and get 30+ gigs of local content( as well as 2gigs international to start with as a bonus) and then use webafrica's topup gigs for browsing.
What are u going to be using ur dsl for though? Is all this international bandwidth a necessity, MrG?

Besides the additional lag on IS connection overseas the other reason I tend not to go for it is that I'd only buy one acc and if the cap could be somehow seperated ie use all you want through out the month but local is local and international is after that.. then i'd be interested. Since i figure i only need about 1.5 int if i have a big local access to play with. Mebbe someone could make a large local capped acount with IS for cheap and have a saix proxy bypass for international for cheap?

Ant1body's routesentry means u can separate local through one account like an IS one and international through a second one on one PC using one modem and one dsl line...

Does the unshaped part make that much difference do gaming? What exactly is it that is not shaped then?MrG said:

I'm on DSL192, Imaginet 3gig shaped package and play WOW EU. My pings are between 450-600... in Molten Core with Teamspeak its around 750, but still very playable.
And that R350 is excluding VAT, so effectively you're paying R400 for the unshaped account. Unshaped will give you about 50ms less, more or less.
Shaped is fine though. You can play a full Alterac Valley match with a stable ping of 600ms.
