The other day my wireless Marconi router went faulty. It was still under warranty so I went to Telkom for an exchange. The Telkom guy told me that before he could exchange the router, a fault must be logged because he needs a reference number. (The reason being that he does not know if the router is really faulty). So I made the call and I was told that a reference number is not needed at all. So I went back to the guy at Telkom. He still insisted on the reference number so I said he must log the fault himself. He called and after a heated exhange of words between the two employees he got his reference number. So the router got exhanged and was not even tested. Sometimes Telkom's incompetency does put a smile on our faces every now and then.
