Just Cause 3

GTA V had a large open world, but Rockstar pulled it off brilliantly with the campaign, and multiplayer modes. For JC3, it does definitely get a little repetitive, but at least the campaign does reduce a fair portion of the monotony with relatively detailed and entertaining missions. Also, it's very difficult to explore some parts of the map without doing the missions first, which might be a good way of addresses 'OWS'

True, but GTA:V is a different beast, first major difference, the world is a very uniquely "hand crafted" map of a city and surrounding region. It's not generated and populated with repeated content. Even if all you did was drive around, the world will be distinctly unique the entire map.....

(and i'm not even mentioning the variety of things one can do in GTA, that does not involve driving, blowing things up or shooting people).

Games like Fallout 4 / Dragon Age:Inquisition / Farcry 4 / Mad Max and Just Cause 3 here, you can clearly spot the "copy paste" thing going on. Sure the textures might change, but you will easily spot the same settlement layouts, same basic structures, same objectives/missions at each. I never felt that in GTA:V .

Witcher 3, also, outside of the "main plot points" , the villages are very much copy-paste with arbitrary side missions . My opinion is, if they cut the Witcher 3's map by half and removed most of the little villages, the game would not be any different...so all that is "filler content" . It is when this "filler content" is all there is where you get this open world syndrome....

Witcher 3 of course , fortunately had a uniquely crafted storyline with unique locations where the story plays out...the large map and "filler content" was just a bonus , but personally i'd prefer having 1 unique village with a hand crafted side-plot instead of 50 copy-paste villages with a "kill 10 rats" missions .

So i'm not saying Just Cause 3 is bad, i am just saying i am spotting alot of content that looks like "filler content" being done as the "main content"....and that is why the actual filler/side content in JC3 is most likely terribly boring aka "challenges".

Been playing JC3 for the past few days now and its become repetitive. Its not a bad game I agree but its certainly no MGS or The Witcher.

So . . . enlighten us! :p

I suspect you've been enlightened. :p

It isn't GTA, or Witcher, or MGS. It's Just Cause... Chaos, destruction, tying people to gas canisters or helicopters and sending them skyward, tying cars to planes and sending them into the sky...

In Just Cause 2 you had 1000+ player multiplayer orgies etc.

still......disappointing, whichever way you look at it

Hi there

I just bought the game today from CNA. Came home installed, steam updated, updated what ever they do, and I click Play. I ahve a I7 with Nvidia 650TI, and 8 gig ram. Why is the framerate so ****. I saw immediately that I wasted R600.00. They say there is a patch,to fix the frame rate, where do I download this from? It is days like these where I rather download the damn game from torrents, and if it is not working, delete it, at least it doesn't cost me a arm and leg!@!!

You're GPU does not meet the minimum system requirements for starters.

Patches will come down via steam updates so no need to download anything.

Have a look at http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/just-cause-3-graphics-and-performance-guide and reduce settings that have the highest FPS knock.
