Unfortunatley it was very poor reception and the guy just reading from a script asking if I wanted to change to a new option with sentech, I asked that he send me an email so I have it writing. Watch this space...

Which package are you currently on?

So no option of staying on Classic or anythng similar, you have to move to thier new packages.

i guess they wont be too bad, probably better caps than many other services.

can't you call him back and ask him to read the script again?
i'm dying to know what they've planned for us unfortunate classic users.

we're probably going to end up paying more, for a potentially 'better' service or alternatively have to take a cut in service (probably lower cap)
i'm not being pessimistic, but if they offered a good deal, they would have shouted the message to the world already...
this secrecy doesn't bode well

NoWire just billed me for the next month of the Classic 256 package, so as far as Im concerned, I've got another month *g*

then again, nowire is just a reseller, i doubt they'd take responsibility if Sentech changes the terms and conditions...

Any idea what's gonna happen to the month-to-month customers? Am I the only one that is feeling completely screwed by sentech? :(

I've got the feeling we're gonna be "asked" to move to Flexi 3000 pretty quickly, which is equal in price and speed. Don't see an option for the Premium (512) guys, since Flexi is "standerized" on 256. But.......if they up the standard to 512 for the same price, I'll take a bite of that :)...until I have a viable non-proprietary alternative of course ;)

at 50c per MB over the cap, I'll rather get adsl and take my chances with telkom. I currently average 5-6GB a month. There is no way I'm going to pay +-R2400 a month for the same usage. Unlimited bandwidth ADSL options are cheaper and faster than that.

From 20 gig to 3 gig? How is that fair? I haven't even abused my cap.

Plus we need to buy a new modem? HA!

Article Quote (http://www.mybroadband.co.za/nephp/?m=show&id=4064):
“All Classic customers currently on a contract, who wish to migrate to the MyWireless Flexi range immediately, will be allowed to do so. In doing so they will receive the cost benefit of the Flexi Product.”

“Those Classic contract customers who do not migrate will have to adhere to a 10 GB cap on the standard package, a 20 GB cap on the Professional package and a 40 GB cap on the Premium package,” Sentech said.

So if I dont want to migrate, I can still use the 20GB cap? Is it just me or is Sentech sleeping again. Either we're forced to use Flexi or we arent. Hopefully the softcap only changes to a hardcap... which isnt to bad

So, how many customers has Sentech just lost? I Know i'm one of them. i was trying to be optimistic, but they just buggered it up.

So long, and thanks for all the fish

"Existing MyWireless Classic contract customers will however be able to continue using the service until the end of their contract."

My contract ended several months ago. Now what?

My contract is up too. Now what? (apart frm looking at adsl options)

i'm calling iburst within the next 30min, i'm on contract, selling it now, well, just transfering. i cant pay 50c/meg after the 20GB cap, then i might as well get HSDPA
