Just got mugged, what now?

I'll give you the details later, I got my phone stolen, what do I do now?

I need to block my phone, does VOdacom do this 24/7?

I have my banking apps, personal pics on it, everyhring... What now???
 
Well, you can can revoke the banking app access online (FNB allows this, not sure about the other banks but most likely they do)

I tried to phone my number and it said 'the number is not available' if this means he turned off my phone - my sim has a password on so I think he cant use it, but the phone itself is still new ****.
 
If iPhone, enable list mode? Or invoke a device wipe, the device will also report in with a location prior to being switch off
 
**** man, I was walking to my car outside a complex and the guy came out of nowhere hit me with a screwdrivers sharp en in the upper left chest, if it was a knife id be ****ing dead now.

He said give me your car keys but then I ran away and he did too. I ran back to my car and drove off.

It's a Hisense, I just wanna block the sim and maybe keep my number if possible? I am with capitec...

Best phone your service provider and block the sun

If you set up the google account part, and If you can log into your google account (pic or rothereise), go to play.google.com

Somewhere under the settings , it will list your devices, and from there, you should be able to do a remote wipe, so as soon as they put the phone on, and it picks up signal, it get the command, and wipe the phone

I never had my gmail account hooked up onto my phone, not sure if it makes a difference. Gonna change my password thought. Not sure what 'pic or rothereise' means?

When it happened I was more shocked than sore, I felt no pain, about 20 minutes later it started hurting and it does hurt a little now, especially when I move my left arm across my chest a lot, but other than that, no it didnt bleed it muyst be blunt force trauma. Just feels like when someone gives you a hard punch.

Ahh ok yeah taking my shirt off hurt - raising my arm above my head hurts and I got a red mark where he hit me, nothing serious...
 
I never wanna be in a situation like this again, I did Jui Jitsu for like a week (lol) years ago and never stuck to it, keep thinking if I stuck to it this coulda been avoided or I could ****ed that guy up :mad:
 
I phoned vodacom and they gonna blacklist the phone tomorrow but i must go to a vodacom store first.

sim is blocked already.

So if a phone is blacklisted what happens??? That ****er cant use it?

I've done ninjitsu for 5 years, when you got a gun against your head it doesnt help :P Best is to not try be a hero. But screw driver or knife you might be able to get away with it.

They block the IMEI so yeah i think it cannot be registered on the network.
 
You gonna have to go report this at the police station and get a case number (for the blacklisting) if i am not mistaken. If nothing else, cause a blip on the crime stats.

Glad you're OK though, maybe you should go get checked out just in case, sooner rather than later?
