Looks like we'll all be happier when they raise the price then!

Screwed for R13? less than 2L of coke?

i don't think they should be charging even R1 more infact i think they should actually lower their prices.

prices go up but the service drops and don't even get me started on the repeats :(

He was already being screwed. They just kindly informed him by mail that they are picking up the pace ;)

Yep, I just got my increase now - extra R30 which I admit isn't going to break my budget but I also feel that they should be stepping up their game if they are going to be charging everyone more. I honestly can NOT remember the last time we watched a movie on DSTV!! Hands up anyone that has?? Seriously - they are running At First Sight at the moment which happens to be on EVERY SINGLE TIME I SWITCH ON MY TV!! Are you reading this people at DSTV? Sort out your programming - jeezuz!

R13 is a problem to you? WTF.
It is like 5 or 6%. If you WORKED at DSTV, you would have expected an inflation increase, neh? Where must this money come from? Less content?

DSTV increase this year is nothing. Go complain about real issues, like ESKOM or TELKOM or wasted taxes.

Might be worth looking at renting DVD's for that money in a month.........
Then we could choose what to watch then.

R20 x 30 days = R600 - good idea - lets just hope you only want to watch one thing a day.

it's not about the R13 you m0ron it's the principle, they shouldn't be increasing their tarrifs when the keep repeating their programming, their compact subs should be way less then what it is ! i'm paying for it so i have every right to complain !

and another thing keep you neh's to yourself

What "principle" - that things should be free? No one is forcing you to pay DSTV. Cancel, ok?

Well there is the new kid on the block coming - OSD - and there packages starts from R99.00, and they reckon they will start broadcasting in May......
BTW renting DVD's is a better option ..... anyways who has so much time on there hands to watch all the stuff on DSTV ... including re-runs , within one week you have seen everything for the entire months repeats ... and not to mention the 2billion dstv adds you see in between shows... I would like to watch the discovery channel without adds and watch sport without dstv adds .. crap I already have dstv ... why show me your adds ??? all I can see where one benefits is maybe if you are a sports fan ?

Real value would also come in if you could pay per channel that you want to see, or have a per show renting option... i.e.. go on line pick the shows you want to see for the day, week etc and pay for it.
In the US you can for example pay for a sitcom episode for less than R7.00 and that seems fair ....

who said it should be free ? stop putting words in my mouth ! i said it should be cheaper not more expensive (regardless of how much the increase is)

and yes I"M PAYING FOR IT ! so i have the right to complain !

and another thing if i want to complain about the service i PAY for i will, i won't just sit back and cancel ... if you happy with it then fine but don't come stuff your drivel down our throats ... not everyone is like you !

they realy should consider droping the price i guess they wil only do it once the competition actualy comes out.
any one rember when dstv first launched their was another competitor, i cant remember the name but i know they didnt last long.
