i7 920, Intel X58 board and 3 gig DDR3 1333 and i am to tired to put it all together :(

Nice... Thought you would've gone for Asus/Gigabyte board though? :D

Or is that the Intel/Corsair bundle?
 
Intel board yes, Kingston ram

Other boards need to drop in price first, just a tester to see if it is worth it (1st Intel board i have ever owned :p )

Light to bad in my "lab" so not going to risk putting it together now, will do so first thing tomorrow :)
 
Apparently you can on the Extreme boards according to the benches i have seen otherwise i would never have gotten it :)

lol benching at stock at the moment and only using one 4870.

06 is running at the moment and will run vantage after that.

Bios is different to what i am used to with Asus boards but will oc this afternoon i am sure :)
 
Can't get Vantage to work need to find my reg code first.

06 everything at stock 15276, cpu 4876

Compared to a bench i did of my E8400 oced to 4gig with the 4870 also oced 16536

Temps are good low 30's at idle, real temp says vid is 0.975 (not sure if that is right)

Going to try ocing a little now.
 
Yikes cpu 4876, that is rather shocking yikes.

Let us know how the overclocking goes, although i would never have bought an intel motherboard with the intentions of overclocking, will be interesting to see how they limit the overclocking on intel board as opposed to asus or gigabyte.
 
lol oh well 1st attempt and i managed to knock out the os, something about missing kernel :p

Back at stock and back in windows :)
