Hi all,

Just ordered BusinessDSL 384 from SpermCount and went with the self install option. Charlene says it should take about a week ( hmm, we'll see ).

Is there any difference noticed in 'plugging my line into a port' time between Home or Business? Also must note that I didnt wait for more than 5 seconds to speak to someone.

Anyway, I'm holding thumbs and hopefully have it soon enuff. :)

Pp

Do you get businessDSL 384? I never knew that :D

Spermcount LOL!, you made me google!

the difference is equivalent to the time difference between hell freezing over, and the devil buying ice skates.

I just checked both telkomsa.net and telkom.co.za, There is no such thing as businessDSL 384, only 512 and 1024 :)

You have been scammed.

it is a new 1st/8 product. Cannot really expect Telkom web site to be up to date, can we?

Ahhhh, thank you guys, I might downgrade now :) hehehe

I've been waiting for this because 512 was just too much of a waste for my business. I have HSDPA already. Can't wait for the Spermcount bill to see if i am billed for self install like their (out of date) website says. I should charge them for doing their work for them. :D

Day 2: Nothing.....

(not like I was expecting anything :D still, it's nice to dream huh?)

Depends on ur business as to wat treatment u get, if u spend R500 pm then expect the same treatment as every1 else, if u spend R50000 pm u may get quicker service...

^ delusional :D

Try R5 million maybe. R50000 is but a handful of calls.

Well it all comes down to the telephone service. We chose businessDSL because we make a lot of calls, so it works out cheaper (well, it's suppose to) It's still EXPENSIVE!!! With the new telkom call packages you could save more on a home line, businessDSL=Business Line homeDSL=home line :)

i dont think you can get a business dsl on a residential phone line, only on a business line, although you can get normal dsl on a business phone line

I spoke to the lady about that as our Business line was classed as a residential and she changed it to a Business to give me DSL. They will not let you have B-DSL on a RES line or vice versa as the normal POTS line rental are about R32 more on a business line.

Phoned today (Tuesday) and was told that I should have a DSL line within the week. I don't think I'll hold my breath.

Well well well.

Ordered on the 3rd of Aug. Online today at 10am. Thats 13 days from ordering to online. Best one yet. :D

Glad to hear it Ploempie, don't forget to make myadsl your homepage ;)

lol, that's a good one ;) just remember that "anyone" must include telscum, or like you say spermcount.
