Just recieved the new VM DATA sim , GUESS what

havent received a call yet - maybe it's because i dont use my VM sim in my phone. i did give them my mtn number as my contact number though.
 
I'm also wondering where are they? No call yet to arrange delivery.
 
Well I got the sim and when I popped it in I picked up Vodacom 3g for a moment. Then everything disappeared. I can’t seem to pick up Vodacom 2g signal in edenglen and that works with virgin ...( I think ... PLEASE CONFIRM AND ADVICE...)..... I am waiting for my antenna that should be here today and hopefully I should be able to pickup Vodacom 2g so that I can connect to the virgin network and mtn 3g.

Any way they phoned me on my work number to confirm my delivery address.
My VM sim is lying at home

No call yet... But this morning hoot hoot hoot at the gate, and... guess what, a 128K SIM card!!!

I recieved "the phone call" today from VM :D - ironically just as I was in Woolworths purchasing more VM airtime... :D

Can't wait to recieve my new sim card...

@Piesang - have they contacted you yet or are you the only one still waiting for the call... I had my Virgin loaded cell with me all day and they phoned on it around 14:00 to say they will deliver tomorrow.
 
I do but is very bad. Anyway i got my anntena today and virgin does work in the data card. The bad news is that i still get a decent 3g signal. I dont even get 1 bar on my tower so then i goes back to gprs/edge.

@Uli - don't feel alone. I don't get decent 3G at my place either and the VC access is pathetic via GPRS. The worst is everytime the signal drops down to GPRS on VC, the card disconnects. I have dumped that idea. MTN and VM is excellent on EDGE.
 
Got my nu sim too! (Thanx Piesang for organising!)
I tried it earlier tonite, it still takes a while to connect, but at least now it works. The VM connection is slow again tonite though, and after about 40mins died... shows connected, but no browsing & transfers, maybe network prob. Will try again later.

Its a pleasure. I also get some speed problems with my old sim in my Jasjar. Sometimes it's very fast and sometimes pages won't open. But then again, my Jasjar only uses 3G and GPRS, no EDGE. So it can be that the GPRS times out.

Enjoy your new sim. I'll probably get mine tomorrow.;)
