I resigned today...

Feels amazing, so much potential for the future.....

wish me luck :D

Congrats. May you encounter many new adventures & prosperous employment.

Its for the best I think....that Co sounded dodge.

Combination of planned and gatvol, got a bit of a passive income - want to finish my BSC and then get my honours as quickly as possible....

Working excessively long hours, for a bit of extra money now - cannot compare to the potential future earnings of being better qualified and having more doors open to me

Congrats. Get that education and the dough will start rolling in ... and then out again. Ugh, the cycle of life.

But seriously, it always take a lot of courage to make sharp adjustments in ones life, so big ups on that. :)

Thanks fdaniels....

Its a bit scary, but exciting as well...

Make sure, if somehow possible, that you are still gaining "experience" in the workplace, even if it's a few hours a week for "niks". When you eventually get back to wanting to enter formal employment, it will help to show on your CV that your potential is good. Corporates want to see your previous experience and what your potential calibre is.

Good Idea McT.... i've got 8 years fulltime experience under the belt... going to be doing part time work, and project work, I would honestly get bored doing no work....

It will never be wasted on your CV when you decide to back to full time employment. Idle hands never look good on a CV, especially gaps in employment that are unaccounted for.

Your studies will be an acceptable reason for gap in employment. All the best with your studies.

Congrats and go for the education. Busy doing exam prep tonight for my BSc exams and I'm all for education - your never too old to start (U'm 35 and still got 2yrs after this left)

finishing end of the year myself! good luck! bit daunting but looking forward to it! hope your studies go well!

All the best. That piece of paper is pretty useful when you looking for another job.
