Just saved this little guy from storage

pressed one of the buttons, and it went clickly clicky
managed to convince them to trade me for a membrane keyboard.

now, where do I find an adapter for it?

Says monterey 102 on the back. Haven`t managed to remove a button yet to see how it works.

I am just looking for them but someone has locked the cupboard I suspect them to be in and left. I will let you know once I get it open if they are still there...

You can pick them up at any local PC shop like Matrix Warehouse.

You're telling me, I figured PS/2 was old and that's 6 pin mini DIN.

I had a good look at the pic now, it's massive if you compare to the key size.

My dad still uses that keyboard, DIN and all

I reckon this keyboard is older than many formites. still trying to find out about it, but info seems pretty scarce.

There was a time when they used to ship those keyboards with DIN5 to PS2 converters, reckon there are still plenty lying around in dark corners.

Pretty sure I've got at least one which I keep coming across when I'm rummaging for other things ...

Any type of work where you use a keyboard will be better with a mechanical keyboard.

They're actually amazing for typing.

Currently still using one at my desk with the mouse as well but the USB version. These keyboards and mouses came with some servers we purchased a while back.

They're actually amazing for typing.

Yes - very much so. I got one for home and enjoy typing more now. The actuation force is a lot lower so the amount of pressure you have to give each key is minimal. I wouldn't be surprised if some professional typists can really fly with a mechanical versus membrane caps.

I love the sound and the feel. currently its sitting on my desk... every now and then I press a few buttons on it. My membrane keyboard i`m typing this on is starting to feel like a limp handshake.
