Just saved this little guy from storage

I would give my left liver to think now mechanical keyboards costs thousands.

Couple of years ago it was stock standard Ell cheapo

i`ve been keeping an eye out for one for myself for years now, but if I come across another one i`ll let you know. Unless its a model M. though i`m not 100% sure I want a model M over this one.

There`s an A,S,X toggle in the back, Anybody know what that means?. I`m assuming AT/XT, but what`s the S?

I`m considering cutting the cord and soldering a ps2 cord to it, to convert and lenghten it.

Removed the buttons, applied some peroxide cream, and let it stand in the sun for a while.

In this case not gaming. 2-key rollover means it'll be absolute garbage for gaming (eg if you're moving forward diagonally to the left using W+A and press space to jump nothing will happen).

This keyboard really just comes down to nostalgia, it'll be pretty annoying to actually use (at least if you frequently use keyboard shortcuts).

Yeah. apparently it has some blocking issues unfortunately. Most annoying thing might be not being able to refresh sql intellisense.
I`ve got another pc with a CRT screen, on which i`m going to install a virtual dos & windows 3.1 and a bunch of abandonware, i`ll probably end up using it on that one.

awesome. he might be able to get enough memory for keen if he edits his config.sys or install a later dos and run memmaker :D

I still got my
mecer 286 with 1Mb ram and 20mb hard disk
Keyboard and screen.
All purchased in 1988.

If you never did it in the past, try QEMM386, much better.
It was a payware, but now you can download for free. :)

A few years ago I succumbed and bought a genuine buckling soring from the Model M Factory in Lexington. They're still going. Now called Unicomp.

Wow, a full meg of RAM. After forking out for a Hercy card I could only afford to upgrade my AT to 512kB.

Upgraded yet to DOS 6.22? It has DRVSPACE so you can get another 10-15 MB on the hard disk. :p
