Kalahari.com vouchers thread

I'm slow today or something... Mind repeating the above?
Simple placed an online order to the value of R386 applied voucher R100 total R286 they couldn't source a product from their supplies. Then they subtracted 1 item even though they charged my credit card... R286 - 39 (subtracted product) = 247 the order wasn't over R250 then they decided to subtract the voucher and was liable to pay the difference. R347 - R286(charged card) = pay the difference. I will think twice before shopping at Kalahari

The order total after the change was not over R350, so the R100 (off R350) discount automatically fell away. Personally I would've bought a lotto ticket and then tried phoning them up to get them to add a cheap product (R10 ebook) and load the discount again. The other option would've been to cancel and reorder ... although this has bit me in the behind before. Bought the last unit of an item that was in stock for R350. Cancelled the order to re-order with a voucher that I got via email. That "last item" only went in stock a few months later at R1100.

^^That's the Kalahari way.

Takealot is the complete opposite from what I've experienced on 2 occasions. If Takealot cannot source an item they will credit your account with the amount you spent + the value of the voucher you used.

I actually received a slip in the mail today and went and picked up my parcel. So, either the strike isn't affecting Speed Services, or my parcel managed to be sent before the strike affected CT (not sure if it is localised to CT and JHB). I had assumed the Speed Services tracking was just dodgy, but it was just Kalahari being Kalahari and getting the tracking number wrong. When I put in the tracking number that was actually on the parcel, it worked fine.

So, if, for whatever reason, you have stuff shipped via the postal option (it is only available on some things), you may have issues tracking your parcel.

"friday1000" gives R100 off today only, heard on KFM and just confrimed it works

Are you sure ?

When I applied the voucher it said R0,00 of R100 valid 19 September 2014 at the bottom the final price R100 deducted. Even logged into my internet banking to make sure they charged me correctly.

Yeah, 100% sure.

How does Kalahari make money when their prices are more than Takealot.com and sometimes the retailers.
