Kalahari.com vouchers thread

I tried to place an order worth R403 now. R65 delivery fee was added to the total. Does anyone know why I wouldn't qualify for the free delivery?

The order was for a box of nappies, together with a small swimmer nappy pack. I do have R73 credit on my Kalahari account, but I wouldn't have thought that that would affect it?

Did you choose to have your items shipped as one parcel or multiple parcels?

RichardG, there was no mention of any "Economy" shipping, but when I removed the box of nappies and added a smaller pack, the delivery fee disappeared. Thank you :)

It's odd though, I've ordered the box before and I've never been charged for it, so that's annoying.

Apologies for not posting something related to vouchers. I'm stopping now.

The end is nigh! Just got notified by Kalahari that their website will be closing and that our affiliate account will be closed effective 01 April 2015. Enjoy the last few vouchers while you can guys.

Word on the street is keep a close eye on Kalahari over the coming weeks. MASSIVE stock clearance/closing down on the cards. Already picked up a few things below cost price...

Going to miss Kalahari...(vouchers especially)

Will TAKEALOT handle any warranty then? This would be a major deciding factor unless we buy 2x of the special items . Thank you for the info. :)

How did you get them below cost? Also, why wouldn't Takealot just claim that stock?

in what way? Kalahari's service sucks in comparison.

Agreed.

Takealot have better support and service in place in comparison to Kalahari. Service delivery is fantastic if I order in the morning sometimes I am lucky same day delivery for free. If I address something on their twitter immediately their contract centre phone me. If I mention a product that they should stock they go out of their way to order it. .

They even went as far as notifying me that stock is now available..

Let's be honest the only reason we love kalahari are the vouchers. I think takealot have something under their sleeve with many vouchers....

Your streets may be lying to you. Kalahari is NOT closing down, they are merging. Meaning that 95% of the stock that they have will be sold at normal Takealot prices once they officially merger.
5% of the stock will be items that they will not offer under Takealot, that will be cleared.

That being said, I would expect a major sale on Takealot once the official merger has happened, thereafter prepare for a drought as their online monopoly takes effect.

REMEMBER: they are merging in order to compete with brick & mortar companies. "Compete" does not necessarily mean that they will sell their product any cheaper than a normal store, it means that their combined buying power will reduce their purchase cost. They will also save on administration, IT, delivery costs, etc.
