I will rephrase and cite my sauses
Kanye is the best ever.
Kanye West has praised the courage of Caitlyn Jenner during the premiere of new reality TV show I Am Cait.
The programme, a spin-off of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, follows West's step parent-in-law as she adjusts to life after her recent gender transition. The show aired on E! on Sunday night (July 26).
In the clip, streaming beneath, the rapper says: "I think it's one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings, that are so controlled by perception."
"You couldn’t have been up against more. Your daughter’s a supermodel, you’re a celebrity... and it was still like, '**** it everybody, this is who I am'."
Kanye West smashes microphone after technical problems at Pan Am Games closing ceremony
Kanye West performed at the Pan Am Games closing ceremony in Toronto on Sunday night (July 26), ending his set abruptly due to technical difficulties.
The rapper's scheduled performance at the sports event had previously proved to be a controversial one, with over 50,000 people signing an online petition calling for West to be dropped from the bill.
However, West's appearance went ahead as planned, with a medley set consisting of 'Stronger', 'Power', 'Black Skinhead', 'Can't Tell Me Nothing', 'Touch The Sky', 'The Good Life' and 'All Of The Lights'. The performance lasted 13 minutes in total.
It's been reported that the rapper was planning on ending the set with 'Gold Digger' but technical difficulties caused him to cut his set short. West threw his microphone up in the air, with it smashing on the floor, before exiting the stage.
Blur’s Graham Coxon Isn’t Big on Kanye West: ‘He’s a F—cking Idiot, Isn’t He?’
Noel Gallagher may have enjoyed Kanye West’s Glastonbury set, but one of Britpop’s other biggest names is not so big on Yeezus. Blur gave an interview to The Guardian surrounding a recent show they played in Hong Kong, where they recorded their reunion album The Magic Whip, and aside from sharing fun stories about playing a “Punching Game” with the “****ing massive” bassist from Dinosaur Jr. (presumably Lou Barlow?), one of the members weighed in with some strong opinions on pop music, and Kanye in particular.
Guitarist Graham Coxon was musing on ’90s pop music (“a wasted opportunity to make good music”), when the interviewer prompted him to discuss the state of today’s industry, which he called “a splurge of **** all over the internet.” When Kanye was proposed as a counterexample, he balked.
“He’s a ****ing idiot, isn’t he?” Coxon said. “Does he even make his own albums? People aren’t interested in learning instruments and putting effort and time into it. They want it immediately. It’s McDonalds, isn’t it? It’s convenient. But all I hear is a loop starting, some bloke starts to sing or rap, and the loop finishes. There’s no shape to this stuff. And the lyrics just seem to be idiotic.”
Right, so count that as another U.K. resident firmly in the anti-Kanye camp. Read his full comments, as well as an illuminating interview with the rest of the members of the band, over at The Guardian.
