Keep my X-Trail or move on?

Cool. They are quite capable, a stock Kia Sorento did the Dakar no problem.

I've got an '05 X-Trail, 2.5 petrol with 140k on the clock and I've had no problems with it so far. I was also looking to change it for the mere fact that I'm bored with it so I was leaning towards a Pathfinder.
The huge big behemith 4.0 V6 auto with low range the whole toot. I fell in love with it but changed my mind due to its fuel economy. Max 21lt/100km, Ave 15lt/100lm. 80lt tank - range around 500km. Petrol - almost R9/lt on Wednesday.

So consider them apples if fuel consumption is not a major player for you.

PS: I hear the Fortuners don't like to stay on their wheels. Top heavy or something or other.
