My antivirus has been popping up almost every day recently. :( It shows the hackers IP address.

It is in the same range as my IP, so if their IP is x.x.a.b, then my IP is x.x.c.d .

I have recorded the last few IP's. I did a NetBIOS query on that IP, and it said:

PC name: MYPC
Username: OWEN NAGAYA
MAC Address: 00-53-45-00-00-00

Cell C please could you do something about this user!

Good day xera

are you using a router ??
if not then you must have a virus
it can't be the APN on Cell C prevents inbound connections.

Hi, No, I'm not using a router, I'm using the speedstick.

From my understanding, they can connect in, as it is within the same IP range. Only if it's outside that range (as mentioned above) then it's blocked by Cell C's APN. Please confirm this, how else would I be able to get the guys NetBIOS info?

Thanks

What program is giving this info?
Can you sent a screen capture or log of it please

Regards

I think xera is telling you that the attack is coming from another one of Cell C's customers (someone else using the Cell C network for broadband data).

Does Cell C prevent connections being established from within the same or similar subnets on the same APN?

If you go on the Internet, you will get loads of 'hack attempts'. My advice would be just configure your antivirus to stop telling you about every attempt it blocks, keep your Windows updated, and get on with life.

Hi j4ck455

thats correct Cell C dose prevent this , that why im trying to find out how and what program xera used to pick this up .
but i have sent this to the head to networks to see what we can do and if we can block other person or may be cross wired... on it as we speak

Interesting then in the sense that something that should be impossible by means of active prevention is reportedly happening.

I think xera should follow your earlier request and send you the full details you requested.

I used angry IP scanner. Strange that I can ping the other users (using default windows ping), if it is really blocked.

Will send you screenshots and the IP's, but the screenshot basically contains the information I first posted....

And yes I will get on with life, ... I'm not worried about the exploits it blocks, I'm worried about the ones it doesn't block. I think there might just be just one user in the area doing this, and if he keeps on doing it, chances are he could eventually get through. Therefore I am making this information known, so that we can hopefully put an end to his hacking attempts.

I also get something alike but heck i get it so much, i dont give a crap anymore
hhhm let me remove the link hehe
damn its already qouted :(

Hey Xera, have you gotten any feedback from cellc?

Seems our buddy Owen is a IT manager at standard bank.... perhaps he gets bored at work?

I would suggest you phone him to find out if he is trying to hack you :)

His cell is 08..........
