My Girlfriend is in a similar boat... Jobs are not very easy to find at the mo :(

What kind of job are you looking for, and where all have you looked?

What do you mean by "job is not suitable"?

Beggars can't be choosers...

If I were to lose my job, I'll take any job, even if it means shoveling s*** somewhere... if it helps with making ends meet then I'll do it in the meantime until I find a job which is more suitable.

Took me three/four months to get a job the first time... you just got to keep trying.

suitable as in don't have a drivers or a car :(. I am a white female, not too bad lol. I am prepared to do anything thqat pays for rent and food :D

Anything?
Wait a second, are you that lady selling used undies on gumtree?

The problem with people who can do 'anything' is that practically speaking there is not one line of work that they can do. I'm speaking from hard experience so don't think I'm being critical. You need to hone in on what kind of work you actually want to do - and if you can't pick something that is totally appealing and possible in your circumstances, pick something that is at least in line with your skills base, and you can work from there.

Basically you have to call yourself something - 'I am a ____ currently looking for work' - not 'I can do anything if someone gives me a chance'. Once you've given a name to yourself, you can much more easily target what you're currently lacking in order to get that job.

I am a young lady looking for call center work. I have an exellent telephone manner. Thats what I am looking for right now...

Eh don't you want to pick another line of work? :o

It's actually not a bad gig if you get in at the right company. Vodacom call centre, for instance, pays pretty well. There's good room for advancement to if you're a competent sort.

I think Discovery pays pretty well too

Yep, you get a phone with auto-dial.
