Kerbal Space Program 2 announced

Looks like a gpu and cpu killer

can't wait

Yeah, this looks absolutely terrific. This trailer even keeps the "feel" of KSP, with Jeb falling down the lander. And so many explosions.

That wasn't actual gameplay footage was it?
No, looked like a "cinematic trailer". There is a dev diary video where you can see some pre-alpha footage in the background, but can't really see anything useful.

I`d love it if they could have procedurally generated worlds, similar to NMS.
Always thought KSP with something like NMS`s worlds would be a perfect game.

I'm going to wait a couple of months, just until the worst game breaking bugs are sorted out. With my limited time and games budget, I can't spend it on this. Not yet.

Apart from bugs like no shield required for re-entry or the fact that I can't see my burn time before starting it, they have a ton of performance optimisation to be done. The devs at least admit it.

Oof holy crap bugs left right and centre.

1. No burn time indicator until you start the burn.
2. Last night my Δv Just stopped showing despite having fuel.
3. Did a EVA during one launch and pieces of my rocket disappears. Including the capsule my kerbal was holding on too.
4. Controller support is horrid. It doesn’t appear to be analog at all.
5. A lot of the graphics setting does absolutely nothing.
6. Wiggle wobbles on the liquid fuel engine with the throttle down to zero some times with SAS enabled.
7. You can’t see the calculated hight of the apoapsis or periapsis when placing a manoeuvre in a orbit. Only after the burn you can see your results.
8. Burn times are buggy. With SAS enabled and you’re pointing correctly for the manoeuvre burns can sometimes take way longer or way shorter than the time displayed. I always thought this is calculated with full throttle. :/

It’s still fun and I found orbit transfers easier. But you have too eye ball it heavily in map view instead of relying on the HUD numbers.

All in all. This is some Apollo 13 level bugs you have to deal with. Kinda ads some excitement. XD

Did a mun landing last night. It was beautiful. Smooth and perfect. Did a EVA and Mun walked around with Jebediah Kerman. Set up my flag, patted myself on the back and bragged about it with my friends.

Then when I had to go back into my lander the game ****ed out and both F for climb and B for board just stopped working.

Now attempting to get a drivable rover on the mun:

No staging set up yet for those who notice that the first thing is a decoupler.

First big update announced for Thursday. Hopefully they fix most of the game breaking stuff. The amount of times I had to reload a save because of a random Kraken (Bug) is pretty scary.

Plus I hit really bad performance the bigger my rockets get. :( Devs says they're working on that as well. It's till fun but man they have a lot to do before we can even think of multiplayer and interstellar stuff.

I decided to build the tiniest most efficient yet self sustaining drivable rover. Took a while to get the breaking set correctly on each wheel. It actually moves way faster than expected. Tonight I'll ad some remote guidance and fit it into a loading bay.

Yeah, it was a case of buy and let lie until first major patch.

Eskom is not allowing me to get the rover to the mun. I had a absolutely epic launch. In lunar orbit and everything selecting a flat ish landing spot... But i forgot to look at the ****en time.
