I'm trying to arrange an intensive 6 week kettle bell workshop but I'm struggling to get the right amount of attendees?

Would anyone in the Joburg or Pretoria area be interested in this?

BTW, I won't be the one giving it, I just don't want to miss out. :p:D

I'm definitely intrigued. Been consider using kettle bells.

It's really cool! The results are ridiculous for the amount of effort you put in.

I'm kinda interested but I'm weak as ****.
No problem, it'll start off slow. There was one before and they started us of on basic technique and safety and then it slowly starts building in intensity. You'll certainly not be weak as **** after this.

Cr@p! If only i stayed in Joburg! I'm in KZN, but have looking high and low for a kettle bell training session. My gym won't invest in it, as they are too small and won't recover the investment. :(

The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once,[3] and in a way that mimics real world activities such as shoveling or farm work

Had to read up what it was. Hectic.

Yeah those things are heavy expensive. Sorry man. :(

I am! I have a 12kg kettlebell and it ****s me up. Apparently an "average" dude should be using a 20kg bell. :( :o

Hmmm... not sure what it involves...but 20kg seems quite high for one-hand and 'average'...

One of the girls in the previous class was under 5 foot and she used a 20 for most postures. And no she wasn't a warpig, she was actually quite small and petite.

Guys usually start 16 and by the end of the course move up to about 30.

Then I'm assuming its used with two hands?

She was doing 1 armed military presses with a 20kg? :o

Hehehe haven't you checked em at gym dude? believe me swinging a 12kg kettle bell one hand could end in the entire mirror being smashed :D.

Generally you see chicks swinging them in between their legs, two hands of course.

I have been trying to find a decent workout on the Internet for kettlebells, and they are few and far between. It seems there is more money to be had off training people than selling the actual weights. This is unfortunate as it really puts me off attempting to start or even buy the equipment.

"Enter the Kettlebell"

And not a warpig?
not at all.

I'm sure you'll find something with some Google-Fu.
The problem with kettlebells its that you should really start with a qualified instructor, it's so easy to injure yourself with incorrect form(especially your lower back). You don't want to hurt yourself, believe me, you'll be out of action for months.

Anyhow, if any of you guys are interested pm me for more details. Seems it's happening but there's limited space for about 10 people. It'll be in the Sandton area.
