hey i'm just a normal whore but seriously i wanna know what happens to this guy because as been mentioned if nothing happens or he gets a lesser penalty then we know that some people are trying to nail SA Rugby.

Mealamu will front an IRB judiciary tomorrow in Edinburgh where he will claim the alleged headbutt was unintentional and refer to his unblemished record (though many in Britain still hold him personally responsible for the alleged spear tackle and subsequent injury that knocked Brian O'Driscoll out of the ill-fated Lions tour in 2005).

so if he gets the guy sent off for concusion or stitches because of a headbutt he feels he should get off because of his clean record, clean record or not, if a person messes with the law they should be punished.

Self pity is for teams who cannot win world cups, being persecuted is for teams who can :D. So we are not wallowing we would just like things to be fair. We may be world champions many times over but does that mean we should get treated unfairly compared to other lesser nations who cannot win world cups?

It would mean more if our persecution had only started once we won in 2007. But it seems like it started from '95 :D Unless that is from whence you were referring??
 
All Blacks have now appealed the ban.

Assistant coach Steve Hansen is quoted: "Mealamu is not a dirty player, he never has been. This is a case we'll go to the death on."
 
Saddest part of all is the IRB will probably fall for their crappy excuse and shorten the ban.

He and another AB almost ended Brian O'Driscoll's career with a VERY deliberate spear tackle and they got away with that as well.

Bloody ridiculous. If a player keeps his clean record every time he transgresses on the basis of he not being a dirty player, he will never get a record as a dirty player... WTF...
