Keyboard Problems

Ok my kb is tripping balls for some reason it will just start acting weird e.g my left shift will act as backspace and my right will give me "|" My last kb did this and i changed and this one has been fine till now !

Could it be a virus, or a faulty PS/2 or just two screwed KB's seems to be ok now though but it comes and goes ?

Possibly dodgy mappings? When it happens, does it happen for quite a while? Have you tried, once it rears its head, using the keyboard on another PC?

What operating system are you using?
What keyboard is it?

Geez it's my work pc its a no name brand KB and yeah it does happen for a while havent tried to change pc's did try update driver and that looks to have helped but i dont know how permantly that is ? and im running XP SP2
