Mine just lost a duel between me and it. It's 'Enter', 'Spacebar', 'and 'Control' keys are no more. The 'Backspace' aren't that lekker anymore either.

I had to drive all the way back to work at 18:30 in the evening to get my office keyboard to do some work this evening. My car tires smell like toasted marshmellows.

I would have bought a new heavy duty keyboard now. Unfortunately my local purveyor of computer hardware closes at exactly 17:30. Seems like I would have to replace my entry-level Logitech with something more durable in the morrow.

Suggestions if you please.

Anger management is my suggestion.
Other than that Logitech low profile keyboards have always served me well.

I would direct that advice more towards the keyboard's side. It started all the trouble. The world would be a much better place if inanimate objects didn't start that many problems.

damn it man, the keyboard was innocent!

reports Picard to NSPCK :p

Look for an Enermax Keyboard, expensive but beautiful. Make from brushed aluminium.

Go on and smack that ..I dare ya! :erm:

Nothing is more robust to me than a Microsoft keyboard, I have a natural MS keyboard and a normal MS keyboard at home and it's quite old with no button fading or failing so far. These things are tough.

Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350

Excellent keyboard. Battery life is 3 years. I use mine for work. Gets hammered day in and day out.

Comfortable to use. I like the function and media keys (I sit with headphones on most of the day listening to my music).

Well, I had a split Natural (MS 4000) keyboard, and some of the keys went flaky. I'm now onto my second one :-(

But the Model M will destroy any other keyboard. The damn thing is almost solid steel.

Someone breaks into my house, forget a baseball bat, just smack them with the keyboard. :-)

Das Keyboard or Rosewill RK-9000 are a couple of good modern mechanical keyboards if you're looking for something in the vein of a Model M.

I can add to that.

In SA you can get the Steelseries 6Gv2 or 7G keyboards which is mechanical.(Some of the best around)

If you really like typing the the Razer Black widow is really cheap for a Mechanical keyboard bear in mind that some struggle with the spacebar that is not of good quality.
The Thermaltake MEKA is also very good and available locally.

Bear in Mind These are expensive keyboard period but will really last 10 times as long as a Logitech office keyboard.
