Keyless car remote security concern

Our thieves figured out a while ago how to block the signal when you lock your car via remote.
The insurance companies still insist though on signs of forced entry though. An article like this one would possibly help in a claim, although you would have a real fight on your hands to prove it was locked.

Don't foresee the motor manufacturers responding to this. rather pretend it can't happen.

Wouldn't the insurance company need to have proof that you did not lock your door?

Mine is a kia cerato koup. Director has a polo. They use these blue centurion remotes with the 1,2 or 3 buttons on for like R200.

Like so http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4DDxoTiiMLg/T5e4x09GBGI/AAAAAAAAADw/f9mvQRJroxs/s1600/remote8.JPG

You're confusing this with that jamming thing that they do (the door never actually gets locked).
What they are doing here is using a device that unlocks the door that was previously locked.
It looks like this would only work with the passive systems that you don't need to press a button.

Read the reply from Electron1. I was referring to his post on signal jamming

Your "what" was stolen?

Content of your car? yes, then you would need to show there was a break in into the vehicle.

Your whole car stolen? Well then the insurance has no proof either way, so you must get paid or you must take your case to the short term insurance ombudsman.

Yeah sorry, Laptop's were stolen out of the boot.

Thing that annoys me, is yes the insurance says its neglegence. But you pay a higher premium on laptops for all risk insurance, it gets stolen and insurance does not pay out.
