I was very suspicious of the chicken piece they threw into the box, never really tasted chicken that slimy and gross. I was supposed to get mash and gravy with it, but couldn't find it. Instead I found a puddle of slipper slop covered in brown fish pond like mud.

I have the stomach of a street dog and can seriously eat anything when I am starving and slightly enjoy it, but this **** was criminal!

IMO you are either over reacting or you went to the wrong branch on the wrong day. Also if you have a problem speak to the manager or call head office for a refund or voucher.
 
So I went to try it out yesterday got the zinger double down and to be honest it was pretty damn good,much more filling than I expected too.

The chicken loaf in the center was nothing to shout about they could have done much better,take the mcdonalds breakfast turkey loaf slice for example,that tastes superb and its not bacon.

But overall I quite enjoyed it although I doubt I would ever have it more than once in two months,the zinger was perfect I'm sure the normal one is bland so not going to try it.

Well it is possible,rainbow supply different chickens depending on the franchises specs,some take bigger ones for example.I know when we were starting a fried chicken business rainbow gave us several options.There are differences in freezing techniques also apparently and cuts.

Yes indeed, different chicken sizes etc but same quality.

Ye... most people reference is the video's that PETA put out. So they see the chicken that is supplied in America.
KFC and McD's both get from local suppliers and meet local standards.

I don't think rainbow is the best chicken in the world but its what you will get a PnP\Checkers\Nando's\KFC and most other places.

its all the same.

Freezing techniques and even size can change the perceived quality and taste.

You'll be amazed at how much effort franchises take to ensure they get their preferred cut/size/freeze type.They try to get the type that compliments their food style.

Moisture content is also very important in the "quality" of the final product,something as simple as defrosting too quick can change the entire texture of the chicken even of the same type.
 
I just find that KFC's food is not as tasty as it used to be. Their Zinger wings have no taste, just burn. I prefer Chicken Licken's chicken!
 
yeah chicken licken is pretty good, but the ones i have been to has poor service
