Kia Cerato AT or MT

So the wife wants a new car and the 2.0 Cerato sedan is on top of the list. She is not too fond of a 2 door so the Koup is out of the question. Took the car for a test drive and I must say that its very impressive. Just that she cannot make up her mind on transmission type. At the moment we leaning more on the MT side as thats what she has always driven. Thoughts?

Auto - if driving mostly in traffic otherwise manual.
 
I have the MT.

If she is in a lot of bumper to bumper traffic get the Auto.. Plus it has paddle shift if you want to drop a gear quickly. Be warned that the Auto's do tend to use more fuel.

Get the AT if your wife often has to sit in bumper to bumper traffic.
The MT clutch is quite grabby and not ideal for slow moving traffic.

If you're getting the 2.0 with 17 inch rims consider swapping the rims with the 16 inch rims if you drive on rough roads.
The low profiles are harsh on SA roads and it's too easy to bend rims. I've already bent two on a pothole.
The 16 inch rims with tyres have the same circumference as the 17's with tyres so it's a direct swop.

Well deal is almost done. Going for the 2.0 Cerato MT. Just a small problem at the moment. They cannot find the colour(white) that she wants. They have offered a Bright Silver or Titanium. Anyone thoughts as to which would look better?
 
I'm partial to titanium/gunmetal - I think it's a colour that makes just about any car look as good as it can. White's sooooo ordinary.
 
I have the titanium - still very happy with it. white = rent a car.
 
Here I'm reading the thread and all I'm seeing is All Terrain and Mud Terrain :D Was a bit puzzled why a cerato would have mudders on:p
 
To me, there's nothing worse than having to change gears manually, even if there's not much traffic to contend with.
 
I'd vote for the Bright Silver, since it looks slicker than the gunmetal.

I've had a Bright Silver MT for 2 years and this morning still thought that my cabbie still looks great, after just a wash.
