Hi

I really like any advice from Kia owners , I have read a couple of worrying posts on hello peter about Kia after sales.
I have test driven the car and it looks good but would I am unsure about the Kia brand

My opinion is that any brand is only as good as the worst dealership they have and that applies across the board.

So don't research the brand as such, research the dealership that you plan to be using.

Agreed! I've had Hyundai, Toyota, VW and now Peugeot, and had terrible an great experience with each, except haven't had problems with Peugeot so far. And it always comes down to the dealer!

My friend recently traded his 2yo BMW 1series in for a VW due to constant problems with the car, and then the pathetic service he received from them.

So goes to show, even premium brands can royally stuff up!

Jarvis which Peugeot dealership do you rate as the best? And which do you rate as the worst?

I used Centurion Kia for my Cerato and they were great, services were sorted quickly and well, and even better they called me 20min after I dropped the car off to inform me I'd forgotten my garmin in the centre console and it was being kept by the service manager.

My boss has an Optima, I remember him having having a bit of a bad time wth an issue after the car went in for a service with the KIA dealership in Paarden Eiland.
He did get everything sorted within 2 days though.

EDIT: I must say the Optima feels very luxurious for the money. Very good bang for buck IMO.

I've had mine for over 2 years now. Very impressed. No issues or service issues. Service at Someset West. Can say the same for the KIA Koup as well.

Bad hellopeter posts about any big car brand. Had my Cerato for 4 years now and happy all round.

The dealership where I bought my Cerato didn't really impress me, so I switched to Kia Bryanston. It was like night and day!

no problems so far with kia (imperial) paarden eiland.....

For sales or for a service? Most unhelpful service department IMO.

Kia Table View was much better and sorted out my problems when Paarden Eiland wouldn't.

The moral of the story and I wish that manufacturers would accept:
"THE SALESMAN SELLS THE FIRST CAR. THE SERVICE MANAGER SELLS THE SECOND."
