I bought some vitamins for my sons some time ago but they don't like the taste of it. Can I use the rest of it? I have about 90 chewable tabs. I was thinking to take double the dosage recommended for children.

Yes you will be able to use those vitamins but before just double dosing on it maybe take a look at the vitamin table on the back of the container and see what is in the tablets and compare to your daily approved intake for adults.

Just because it is for children doesn't mean that the tablets will contain half of the adult portion. Some minerals the youth need more than adults

Ye I would also say do not double up as nowadays nearly everything is vitamin enriched. But the previous poster said is great advise.

Thanks, I checked the %RDA and I will stick to the normal dosage as recommended for children.

you can't really Overdose on vitamins. your body will simply pass it "through the system" so even if you happen to take double the dose (accidental or intentional) it won't make much of a difference

Actually this is not 100% correct. You can actually take too many vitamins (hence the reason why you have an acceptable daily intake and not a minimum recommended value) which can affect your health. Things like taking to much Iron or vitamin A or C can affect your biological system.

This is true - I saw this documentay where some oke took too much Iron and developed this shiny knob on his heart. I think they even started calling him Iron Man or something. :)
