I would just like to share my experience with everyone. We recently had MetroFibre Networx install fiber in our complex. They only give you 2 choices as an ISP/re-seller: GreenCom or Kiklo. GreenCom had no communication or transparency with us for 3 months, so I moved to Kiklo, as they showed promise.

I can tell you now that Kiklo is terrible. They do not care about you as a paying client, its all about the money. They are greedy AF. They are so aggressive in dealing with you (particularly the finance department). They have now on numerous occasions treated me very badly, with little respect or kindness. When they make a mistake they do not own up, they point the finger at you as if you are at fault. They love showing how smart and superior they are by quoting legal language in the contract - giving the feeling that they own your soul as they have written the contract in their favour. Besides for the sales team, I have not once felt they are willing to go out of their way. And I am not talking about a single bad experience here, its months of numerous interactions with different people that lead to the same outcome.

Kiklo is expensive, their router is crap (technically an ONT and router in 1 to save them costs), technical support is very limited (hardly on weekends or after hours). Their communication when there is a line fault is non-existent, its mostly a guessing game.

Unfortunately MetroFibre gives you no choice, you MUST use them. But what they do not tell you is that after 3 months you can move providers. So they are a necessary evil to get fibre in the first place. Right now I can't wait to be rid of them. MetroFibre are destroying their own brand by using these companies, as people will associate this experience with MetroFibre. They should rather have it open from the get go.

Hope this helps with your decision in using these guys as there was very little at first for me to go by.

Hi Marhsava, I signed up with greencom initially. I pushed the installation on MetroFibre's side as greencom never communicated anything. If you hear nothing from them I would advise to call MF and speak to the project manager directly - they are great. I had to do that to make sure everything gets installed, if I did not I would probably still be sitting without fiber. If greencom does not live up to your expectations (which I have a feeling they will not), then note that after 3 months you can move providers. My 10Mbps line with them costs the same as a 25Mbps with any other provider.

I've heard Greencom had financial problems and were bought out by Cell C. Maybe best to reconsider and see if another ISP/Reseller can assist?

Pippen, I am with Kiklo and have had nothing but the most awesome experience with them. They managed our installation on a plot in the middle of nowhere (where other ISP's declined to invest) and kept us informed every step of the way. We stuffed up a bit with payments and the accounts department was nothing but understanding and helpful. As for the speed and actual fibre service, it's fabulous! Seems you just had a bad experience?

If anything you should be able to go with CoolIdeas as they give the same product as a lower cost, only heard good things so far from CoolIdeas plus they have a netflix open connect server at their premises. pus they support the Metro Fibre Network

The local speeds on Kiklo are always what you pay for though which is something i can compliment them on just international speeds seem to be shapped at 10Mbps
