My mum's visiting family in the US, and I want to take the opportunity to order her a Kindle on Amazon and have it delivered there. That's the easy part.

What I really want to do is set up a separate kindle account on my Amazon account, so she can buy herself books and it get billed to me. It would be nice to set a limit on her spending :o

What I don't want is to just register it on my account, and haver her see what's in my reading list (no good can come of this) and pollute my kindle with her reading choices (no good could come off this either).

Has anyone done anything like this? I can't see a way to do it. It seems the best option is to have her set up her own account and send her Amazon vouchers.

I have considered that, but that would also allow her to buy stuff on Amazon. That will be a problem!

Well if your own mother can't be trusted.... go with the vouchers idea?

*** Edit: I just realised I don't trust my own mother with technology...

Sweet, that might be a decent compromise. I can give her a budget via gift cards, and she can add her card and supplement if she needs to.
