Kindle touch unavailable for export on Amazon

Anybody have any idea why the kindle touch is not available for export to SA? The original keypad version is. Where else can I get one?

Hey bud, I was considering the kindle touch as well, but instead I got the Kindle 4 (on screen keyboard, not the big one) ... however I'm stoked I went my route, keep in mind that you'll be reading on this screen which isn't back lit and you'll have finger marks all over it if you go for the touch. Even the slightest impurity on my screen puts me off when reading so I make a point out of not touching it.
 
Remember the Touch also has audio support and twice as much memory, if either of those are important to you.

I will imagine they will start shipping the Touch here fairly soon after the holiday season has died down in the US. I am also waiting for one, tired of fighting over who gets to use the Kindle 3 in the house :)

Well, grey or not, it does help with the price:
Kindle WiFi with SO: R 1,085

Kindle Touch 3G: R 2,571

About R500 less, just to have your "locked" screen show some Amazon promotion, not bad.
 
We have to wait for the amazon one after all. The wife received an amazon voucher for her birthday yesterday!
